Requiring 1000 copies, the artwork lent itself beautifully to printing digitally onto the textured uncoated paper of Munken Pure Rough, giving it the feel of a luxury brochure.
The customer was keen to use the square back binding rather than the standard FST (saddle stitching with 2 wires). We are pleased to offer Square back binding at this Bristol Printer, as it is a refined alternative to saddle stitching and gives a different look. This 20pp brochure had the texture and finish inkeeping with the high end bedding range it featured. This is just one of the brochures produced in a collection of literature for the linen company. Different stocks were used to differentiate between the product lines, ranging from budget to premium.
What is square back binding?
It is stitching which used 2 wires, very similar to saddle stitching but it adds two folds to the paper to give the spine definition so it look more like perfect binding. It would tend to be used on less pages than Perfect and PUR biding but can mimic the square back look.
